Alfred Asante-Korang, MD, FACC

Dr. Asante-Korang graduated from the University of Ghana Medical School, 1983. He completed a four-year pediatric residency in England at University of Liverpool/Royal Liverpool Children's Hospital. In 1993, Dr. Asante-Korang was a recipient of the prestigious Sydney Windsor Cardiology Fellowship award at Dalhousie University, Canada. He then moved to the United States where he completed a senior residency at the University of Chicago, IL. His pediatric cardiology fellowship was completed at the University of Pittsburgh/Children's Hospital in 1996. It was at this facility where he developed his interest in transplant cardiology.

Dr. Asante-Korang focuses his efforts on cardiac transplantation, perinatal cardiology, general pediatric cardiology, echocardiography and diagnostic cardiac catheterizations.
